Understanding Which Ingredients Are Best for Your Dog
Whatever kind of food you feed your dog you should always read the labels to understand the contents. If you are making the food fresh from home, some good suggestions would be to add fresh cut chicken, beef or fish.
If you are looking for a vegetarian diet for your dog, you can try these ingredients. Pasta, soybean oil, beets pulp, a calcium carbonate, zinc oxide, iron sulphate, magnesium oxide, copper sulphate, choline chloride, etc.
Good sources of protein are chicken, beef, mutton, fish, and raw eggs. Taurine is one of the essential ingredients for the dog’s nutrition. When preparing dog food it is good to make sure they contain essential fatty acids, carbohydrates with adequate fiber contents, vitamins like A, D, E and B complex vitamins. Other necessary nutrients include zinc for skin health, calcium for bone growth and muscle tone.

Homemade Liver Treats
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup wheat germ
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 pound beef liver
Pre-heat oven to 350.
Liquefy liver in a blender, add dry ingredients. Grease a
cookie sheet. Drop teaspoonfuls of mixture onto a cookie
sheet and flatten with bottom of glass dipped in water and
cornmeal. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
You may store baked or unbaked dough in freezer.
